Research topic: Turbulent modelling analysis on rotating flows


Goals

  • Extract each term of the trubulent kinetic energy (TKE) budget from large-eddy simulation (LES) mid-calculation.
  • Realise an in-depth analysis of the RANS (Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes) turbulence modelling compared to LES results, considered as reference, by comparing the TKE budgets terms on a corner separation case and a tip-leakage flow case.
  • Create and code an hybride RANS/LES turbulence model and test it on a corner separation case.
